As a member of the Wave Team at GSW, I worked on bigger branding projects and new business pitches. It made me a better conceptual thinker even if it didn't result in a lot of produced work, which is reflected in the comps, sketches, and campaign extensions shown below. This print campaign for Humulin, however, was produced. It's a treatment for patients who are insulin resistant. Humulin helps reduce their dosage requirement, promoting patient compliance and helping them get back to living.
There's nothing as good as original equipment for the human body. So when you need a replacement part, you should get the best. For patients considering hip replacement, we demonstrated that Stryker is the best choice for people whose livelihoods depend on their hips. We dug deep to find famous athletes who had great success with Stryker hip replacements and "Great Moments in Hipstory" was born.
Then it was killed because sometimes that's the way it goes in advertising ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Chronic pain is no laughing matter. But when you have an effective treatment for it, that's reason to smile. These concepts were very well received by the creative, account, and strategy teams, but shot down in a client drive-by.
Hill-Rom is well known in healthcare for their beds. That's great, but they make a lot more than that. As part of a new business pitch, we wanted to show healthcare facilities the surprising breadth of products from Hill-Rom.
Our idea was simple: If you look closely at the best hospitals and healthcare facilities, you'll see that Hill-Rom is everywhere.
The print campaign extended to sales aids on tablets, a congress/convention display (below), and more.
Duputryn's Contracture is this weird condition where old dudes' fingers curl in on themselves all claw-like and creepy (Note: I am not a doctor). For this new business pitch, we enlisted a spokes-hand: Thing, from The Addams Family. The pitch included a People magazine profile detailing how his life hit rock bottom after developing the condition. We also had sales aids and a guest appearance by Thing himself to greet the client on the day of the pitch.
Osteoarthritis treatments can be just as bad as the condition itself. But GEL-ONE provides relief without adding to the pain. Unlike other treatments that require a large dose injection, GEL-ONE is just a single 3mL injection. That tiny droplet turned into our big idea:
It's amazing what a little gel can do for your patients.
As part of a rebranding assignment for GSW, I helped create this video focusing on the way they tell stories. “We Speak People” describes a point of difference for GSW and also served as the main navigation of the website.
